W. S. Burrowes was born on the sunny island of Barbados in the Caribbean. Even from a young age, she could be found with her nose in a book. She has been a technical writer for over fifteen years. At the age of twelve, she moved to New York with her mother and resided there until 2004. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with her two sons. While in New York, she attended New York University and graduated with a computer science degree, much to the surprise of her counselor, who told her the first time she met her that based on her entrance essay, she was looking forward to reading her first novel. That was many years ago, but that counselor obviously knew something then that Wendy would discover later in life. Writing has always been a passion, and now Ms. Burrowes has turned her passion for writing nonfiction to writing fiction.
